Umrah Visa UK
Umrah visa guidance for people living in the UK, whether you hold a British passport or another nationality with UK residence.
British passport holders
If you hold a British passport, you can usually travel for Umrah on the Saudi tourist eVisa outside the Hajj season. It is applied for online, and you will need a valid passport, a photo and travel health insurance.
UK residents with another nationality
If you live in the UK on a residence permit, settled status or a long term UK visa, you may be able to apply for a Saudi visa from the UK. The rules depend on your nationality and the type of UK permission you hold, so we check your case before you book.
Travelling as a family
For families, we check every passport in the group, including children's passports, before submitting applications together. If one person needs a different route, we plan the trip around the longest processing time.
Timing
Decisions are made by the Saudi authorities. Many are quick, but we recommend applying well before you commit to non refundable travel, and earlier still before Ramadan and the school holidays.

Alfalah Travel is an independent travel agency in London. We are not a government body and are not connected to the Saudi or UK governments. Visas are issued only by the relevant authorities, and you can always apply directly through the official government services.
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers from our Umrah team.
Do British citizens need a visa for Umrah?
Yes. British citizens need a Saudi visa to perform Umrah. Outside the Hajj season most people use the Saudi tourist eVisa, which allows Umrah. If you book a package with us, we prepare and submit the application for you.
I live in the UK but hold another passport. Can I still go for Umrah?
Often, yes. Eligibility depends on your nationality and UK residence status. Send us your passport nationality and residence details and we will tell you which route applies.
How long does a Saudi eVisa take?
Many applications are decided within a few working days, but timing is set by the Saudi authorities and can vary. Apply well before you book non refundable travel.
Do you guarantee visa approval?
No one can guarantee a visa. Every decision is made by the government that issues it. We check your documents carefully to avoid common mistakes that cause delays or refusals.
